No, the entire platform is compatible with mobiles, tablets & laptops. It is completely optimized to give the same experience across any device you prefer to use.

Do i need a webcam?

It is not mandatory to have a web cam because you can do audio/text chat as well. However, if you wish to do a video chat with the university, it is possible with mutual consent. Your built-in phone/tablet/laptop camera will be used and no need to have an additional webcam.
